Tell us about your books! What do you love to write about?  

I started my writing career in children's books with 5 children's books under my belt. Life took a turn as it often does. In my quest to heal from a life-impacting trauma, I learned the power of healing but more importantly how each one of us has our own perfect healer inside. Before my illness I was already a sound therapist, helping others come into their own healing. From those life experiences, my writing life has shifted from children's books to Adult Non-Fiction. I'm now focusing on helping others heal from life's bumps and bruises. 

What inspired you to get started as an author?  

Foxes!!! At the time I wrote a daily family blog. One day, as I was writing a momma fox, wandered into my yard with her 4 kits. I ran downstairs as fast as I could and started taking photos. Each week I would share what was happening with the foxes on my blog. Thousands of people arrived each week and they asked for a book. The Fox Diaries was my first book and is still greatly loved and cherished book. 

What are your favorite books to read?  

I'm a huge lover of non-fiction but an avid reader of nature writing. Hawk by Helen MacDonald, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and anything by Terry Tempest Williams.  

 
For shoppers holiday shopping for their loved ones, tell us who are your book(s) for?  

My book Thrive is for anyone in need of healing, whether that be physical or emotional healing. My children's books are for children between the ages of 5 and 12. 

What’s the message you want to get out to people this Holiday Season?  

Be present in the moment. Listen to what you are needing and create that.
