Tell us about your books! What do you love to write about?

My first love in writing was historical fiction (Civil War), but one day while spending time at the beach to edit one of my novels, a new storyline came to me. Thankfully, I didn’t ignore “the muse” and took the time to write down notes.

Those notes became my first award-winning and bestselling romantic suspense novel, Meant To Be, which was followed by Deadline, Fine Line and Front Line.

I’m also published in Women’s Fiction (Lacewood) and Sweet Holiday Romance (Sleigh Bells Ring).

What inspired you to get started as an author?

My background and education are in journalism, so I’ve always been a writer. It wasn’t until I was in my 40s that I realized that not everyone has stories constantly running through their heads. I decided to sit down and organize all of the notes I’d jotted down over the years, and my first novel Shades of Gray was born.

What are your favorite books to read?

I love reading suspense/thrillers with a military theme, my favorite being the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. I also enjoy reading novels that were written in the 19th century. I love the flow of the words and the structure of the sentences.
